Hair Inspiration

So remember when I harped on and on… and on and on about Hair Inspiration this and color that and I need a haircut oh-look-I-can-do-things-all-by-myself blah blah blah…

Well, here we have it…

The Before…

Untitled-3For a real world perspective the above photos have not been edited in any way. And for those that say “oh, celebs’ hair only looks like that because of the studio lighting” I give you incandescent (left), fluorescent (middle), and natural (right). All the same I-swear-I’m-a-redhead brown. And only one is a selfie! Yay!

The Inspiration…

edit_isla-fisher-660 Untitled-4The always amazing Isla Fisher, Amy Adams, and Julianne Moore, plus one. This also makes me think I should stop treating my eyebrows like a geometry project and go a little softer but, that’s a topic for another day.

The Plan…

RGBAmbitious to be sure. I’m either a Stylist’s wet dream or their worst nightmare. I can never quite decide. Anyway, because I have recently become the cheapest person on the planet, I never actually went to the salon. I know. I’m sorry. I just couldn’t! It was either go on vacation for five days and buy two new pairs of shoes and also wander the mall and eat out every night without guilt OR go to a salon. Oy, I feel so guilty. Don’t misunderstand me, I think salons are fantastic and you should take every available opportunity to visit one and indulge in some pampering. My Stylist Lindsey is Ah-mazing and her cuts and color always come out perfect and are exactly what I’m looking for so ignore my methods completely basically. Thank you.

If you’re still reading you’ve forgiven me so let’s move on. After all my bitching and moaning and planning and waiting I ended up cutting and dying it myself…

The Result…

Untitled-6I am a beautiful butterfly. Can I just mention I thought I had on a full face of makeup here. Now I understand why when I agreed to go on a weekend trip for a Bachelorette, my friend’s first reaction was “And I’m doing your makeup!!” One step to becoming a full fledged functioning female at a time. One at a time. Until the next one!
